40TH ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION OF AN ICONIC RIEDEL SERIES Limited
In celebration of the 40th anniversary of this prestigious series, Riedel has produced two exclusive limited edition collections of the Sommelier series glassware, which are available in Hong Kong. The first limited edition offering is a set of six mouth-blown varietal specific Sommeliers glasses crafted entirely in striking black crystal. Apart from being perfect tools for the consumption of wine, the opaque deep black glasses are visually striking and serve as stunning adornments. The other limited edition series offers the classic clear glass bowls set distinctively with sleek red stems and black bases.
Both collections come in a set of six - Bordeaux Grand Cru (Cabernet Sauvignon), Burgundy Grand Cru (Pinot Noir), Champagne, Riesling Grand Cru, Montrachet (Chardonnay) and Vintage Port, and are elegantly packaged in a unique “40th Anniversary” tube. Priced at HK$1,390 per piece for both the black crystal set and the red stemmed set, the collections will be available for purchase at Town House and Lane Crawford stores from November. As an additional celebration offer, two of the original clear glass Sommelier designs – Bordeaux Grand Cru and Burgundy Grand Cru, will be sold for the first time in sets of two for HK$1,640 (original retail HK$2,050).
Lauded for transforming the wine culture over the past 50 years, Riedel’s design-focused decanters, stemware lines, and stemless “O” collections have been selected for display at the Museum of Modern Art, Corning Museum of Glass, San Francisco MOMA and more. Riedel is distributed widely throughout Europe, the Americas and Asia, and can be found at the most exclusive fine dining establishments throughout the world.
