Enhance home experiences - Sony Life Space

Sony unveils Life Space UX provides sensory impact using light, sound and vision applied in unexpected ways.
The Portable Ultra Short Throw Projector LSPX-P1 creates a new viewing experience at home, despite its compact size, the 10cm white cubic projector is capable of throwing up to an 80” image onto a table, a wall or any other surface you want to bring to life. The body of the projector features a user-friendly, space-compatible design in warm, natural white colour, which is easy to pick up and carry around. Equipped with internal speakers and battery, the projector can be easily positioned throughout the home turning any surface into a virtual screen. A smartphone becomes its wireless controller to view contents like photos, movies and clock applications. Or use the supplied wireless unit to watch content wirelessly from your TV set-top box or Blu-ray player.
Glass Sound Speaker LSPX-S1
The sleek Glass Sound Speaker LSPX-S1 fills every corner of your living space with warm illumination and crystal clear sound made possible through its organic glass. An LED housed within the cylinder combines ambient light with music. With an impeccable reproduction of vocal and acoustic sounds, the Glass Sound Speaker evokes the sensation of music played live in the room.
Sound resonates through organic glass, which chimes beautifully with the aesthetics of living spaces, while the colour temperatures of the filament LED accentuate the sparkling midrange tones with both warmth and clarity. Another key part of the design was the start-up and shutdown processes: the device lights up like a candle when it turns on, powering up with a warm, soft glow, and dims at a slow, gentle pace when the power goes off. Lightweight, battery-operated, and easily portable, the Glass Sound Speaker connects with smartphones and other devices via Bluetooth.

Partnership with BoConcept
Sony teams up with BoConcept to create scenarios that bring the Life Space UX to life at the BoConcept Shop in Central and Sony Store in Causeway Bay from November 11 to December 31, 2016. Partnership with BoConcept will demonstrate how both the Glass Sound Speaker and the Portable Ultra Short Throw Projector can create unique lifestyle experiences for consumers in home environments and transform their living space.
The Portable Ultra Short Throw Projector LSPX-P1 and Glass Sound Speaker LSPX-S1 from Sony will be available at Sony Stores at HK$7,990 and HK$6,490 respectively from November 11, 2016. The projector can be elevated with the use of a separate floor stand LSPX-S1, available for HK$1,590.

This milestone exhibition will be held at LANDMARK ATRIUM, Central, Hong Kong, from October 10th – 16th, 2016.
The exhibition will focus on four major elements; ‘Legacy’, ‘Craftsmanship’, ‘Glamour’ and ‘Love’. These elements act as the themes of different sections of the exhibition, creating a linear journey for its visitors, offering them exclusive content while being taken through a thought-provoking and visually engaging experience.
‘Legacy’ will refer to the history of the Tiffany® Setting, from its initial conception, through to its established significance as an industry-changing engagement ring. Featuring a digital interactive timeline of The Tiffany® Setting’s 130 years of history, it will take audiences through a vivid narration of the manifestation of Charles Lewis Tiffany’s first conception of the brand to what Tiffany & Co. represents today.

The main attraction at the exhibition will be an unprecedented 8.27 carat the New Limited Anniversary Edition pavé the Tiffany® Setting Diamond Engagement Ring at approximate $10 million Hong Kong Dollars, which will be housed in a gigantic Tiffany Blue Box. Inside the beautiful encapsulation, visitors will be invited to experience the incomparable beauty of the engagement ring, as they immerse themselves in a visually captivating display of Tiffany & Co.’s historic creation.
The creation of the Tiffany® Setting requires unquestionable dedication, along with undivided attention to detail and skill. ‘Craftsmanship’ will honor the hours of time and effort required in the creation of the iconic ring. On display will be a craftsman table with tools required in the ring making process, along with diagram and video displays of the design process. Also featured in this section will be Tiffany & Co.’s hand-engraving demonstration. In-house hand-engravers are skilled in their craft, and will be able to engrave personalised love notes onto Tiffany jewellery, making the piece unique and irreplaceable.

‘Glamour’ will be a noteworthy portion of the exhibition, as it will be where a special cut of the movie for Tiffany & Co.’s documentary ‘Crazy About Tiffany’s’ is played. This is Tiffany & Co.’s fully authorized documentary that documents the New York-based jeweler’s milestones from the past to present, vibrantly communicating the significant events that occurred during the life of a legendary figure in the jewelry industry.
The Tiffany® Setting has been a quintessential feature in the jeweller’s range of collections and has consistently been heralded as the embodiment of marriage and love. Undoubtedly, ‘Love’ will be one of the highlighted elements of the exhibition. Within the ‘Love’ segment of the exhibition, photo and video displays of the brand’s bridal campaign will be displayed. Also featured will be an interactive love letter writing station, where a calligrapher will be able to add a touch of passion and romance to your love letter by personalising it to your significant other on an envelope in the instantly recognisable color of Tiffany Blue. The public can even send out their love letter at the dedicated Tiffany mail box at Tiffany Landmark store.

Indulge in timeless elegance- The Ritz Carlton, San Francisco

Located in the heart of downtown, The Ritz-Carlton, San Francisco is one of the finest hotels to call Nob Hill home. Welcoming guests into a timeless escape of elegant luxury, this 1909 Neoclassical landmark has been transformed into a beautiful retreat of modern classic design. It is a gateway to iconic memories, enveloping guests in the sounds, flavors and imagery of San Francisco. The Ritz-Carlton, San Francisco – a beloved landmark for 105 years – completes its multi-phase transformative renovation this month. Led by the world’s largest hospitality design firm, Hirsch Bedner Associates (HBA), the classic architectural form of this iconic hotel has been carried throughout its interiors and contemporized with sleek, modern detailing.
Drawing inspiration from the Bay and the city’s iconic fog, the luxury hotel’s 336 guest rooms, inclusive of 60 suites, are reborn in palette of steely blues and greys, while furnishings take their cues from the alluring designs of couture fashion and men’s fine tailoring. From curtain cords resembling a man’s belt to chairs and chaise lounges in tweed fabric, delightful and unexpected touches embody the dapper gentlemen of today, while abstract artwork nods to the rich history of the San Francisco ballet.

“The new guestroom design draws inspiration from San Francisco’s Wilkes Bashford – one of the city’s iconic luxury department stores – and the legacy of former Mayor Willie Brown, renowned for his famous suits,” says HBA Principal Designer, Kathleen Dauber. “The suiting aesthetic can be found in the specially woven pillows, the layering of the wall coverings in the guest rooms and corridors – creating a sense of drama in the spaces.”
The hotel’s sleek, uncluttered and contemporary new interiors and high-tech flourishes – such as Virtual Concierges located in the lobby and meeting space foyers providing guests with various maps, attractions, and events – offer a striking juxtaposition between the building’s stately and historic exterior. The new guest rooms complete the historic landmark’s multi-phase renovation that began with the re-opening of its signature restaurant, Parallel 37, in December 2011, the unveiling of the lobby and The Lounge in February 2012, and the completion of its new meeting spaces and ballroom in September 2014.
Situated in the heart of downtown and bordering the city’s Financial District, Chinatown, and Union Square luxury shopping, the nine-story hotel commands an entire block of Stockton Street. The hotel features two food & beverage outlets including critically-acclaimed Parallel 37, and over 23,000 square feet of meeting space. The award-winning Ritz-Carlton Club® Level features exclusive access to the Club Lounge with unique weekend offerings and experiences.
